Captain America Cake Pops
When Patriots become heroes, their legend will someday be forever etched in cake! Today is that day!
To celebrate the 4th birthday of Maddox W. of Marietta, GA, Captain America Cake Pops were created to go with the Superhero party theme. These pops are fudge cake dipped in candy melt and decorated with some fondant details.

December 29, 2011at6:57 pmHi…I was wondering the same thing…can you please share how you make these wonderful Captain America cake pops?
My son is having his 4th birthday with a Capt America theme. These cake pops would be a great addition!!!

December 30, 2011at4:42 pmI rolled the the cake ball then flattened it a bit for the shield shape. It was then dipped in red candy melt and detailed with white & blue fondant.
For the outter white circle, I used a small cookie/fondant cutter to cut a fondant circle. I then used a 2nd round cutter to make a slightly smaller circle in the first fondant circle. Doing this leaves an outter ring that I placed on the cake pop. Hope this makes sense. Let me know if it’s confusing.
