Making Mint Green Chocolate

I experimented with making Mint Green colored candy melt yesterday. I searched the web for any help on what combination of candy melt colors would make a minty green color.  I found most people used the Mint Green Food Gel and some suggested mixing regular green and white but never gave any information on just how much of each. Since I didn’t want to use the Mint Green Food Gel (water-based food coloring can seize up chocolate) I opted for mixing the white and green.

I was pleasantly surprise that white with just a bit of green gave the nice light mint green color I wanted. 🙂

I used 8oz of White Candy Melts plus 1/4oz Green Candy or 96 White Candy Melts/Wafers plus 3 Green ones.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I have been trawling through the internet trying to find ready coloured melts/ info on how to make my own!!

This is for a friends Christening- which the theme is white and mint- and now I can breath again!

You even went to the extreme of counting the melts!! Love it and thank you!

Hello, approximately how many cake pops where you able to dip with the color chocolate you did?

I primarily use Wilton melts, and they have “green” or “vibrant green” – what brand do you use, and if you use Wilton which green was this? Thanks!

Thank you! I have been searching for a combination to get this exact colour. I am planning to make a mint green striped tier in my niece’s wedding cake. You have helped enormously.

Thanks so much!!! I tried using a light green, white and a small amount of yellow. I got a beautiful shade of celery green!!! Not the color I was looking for. I am doing a baby shower and the colors are peach and mint green.
