With the 4th of July right around the corner, a customer in Marietta, GA requested an order of something extra special to take to a holiday gathering. She wanted a couple dozen Independence Day Themed Cake Pops. Giving Midtown Sweets full creative control, I decided to recreate Uncle Sam’s Hat as the main pop and add a few Stars & Firework-ish pops to mix it up a little. I must admit, creating the hat was a bit challenging for the first few but it was still LOTS of fun.

The centers of the pops are yellow cake blended with a creamy chocolate frosting.  Red, White, and Blue candy melt, along with sprinkles, were used to cover the cake pops.

Midtown Sweets has added a new cupcake to its selection. The Hummingbird Cupcakes are a delicious fusion of cinnamon, pecans, pineapple, and banana topped with a yummy dollop of cream cheese frosting.

And the Winner of the Cupcake Giveaway is…….KATHERINE MCGEE of Marietta, GA! Katherine was very excited to receive her delicious delivery today and can’t wait to share them with her family. Thank You to everyone that played Midtown Sweets Trivia. More giveaways are on their way…. next stop Cake Pops!
