With the 4th of July right around the corner, a customer in Marietta, GA requested an order of something extra special to take to a holiday gathering. She wanted a couple of dozen Independence Day Themed Cake Pops. Giving Midtown Sweets full creative control, I decided to recreate Uncle Sam’s Hat as the main pop and add a few Stars & Firework-ish pops to mix it up a little. I must admit, creating the hat was a bit challenging for the first few but it was still LOTS of fun.
The centers of the pops are yellow cake blended with a creamy chocolate frosting. Red, White, and Blue candy melt, along with sprinkles, were used to cover the cake pops.
