Sometimes after a big order, I’ll take the left overs and practice designs or create something different. This week I took inspiration from Dungeons and Dragons and decided to see if I could create a few RPG dice (Role Playing Game).

These 4, 6, 8, and 12 sided Cake Pops are Chocolate Cake dipped in Chocolate Candy Melt and brushed with gold luster.  The numbers were added with a food color pen.

Below is one of the casualties that occur during Cake Pop creation…. Poor little guy…

With the 4th of July right around the corner, a customer in Marietta, GA requested an order of something extra special to take to a holiday gathering. She wanted a couple dozen Independence Day Themed Cake Pops. Giving Midtown Sweets full creative control, I decided to recreate Uncle Sam’s Hat as the main pop and add a few Stars & Firework-ish pops to mix it up a little. I must admit, creating the hat was a bit challenging for the first few but it was still LOTS of fun.

The centers of the pops are yellow cake blended with a creamy chocolate frosting.  Red, White, and Blue candy melt, along with sprinkles, were used to cover the cake pops.

Melissa of Tucker, GA wanted something special for her twin niece and nephew in Fairborn, OH, so she decided to send them a dozen cake pops each. The cake pop themes were picked because Jordan loves robots and India loves princesses and puppies. Robot Theme from Bakerella.
