I finally took a moment to make a cake pop themed around one of my favorite gaming series, Legend of Zelda. A Zelda themed pop has been on my to-do list for about 2 years and I decided to make one today with an extra cupcake from the latest bake up. I was actually planning on making a Link (Wind Wanker) Cake Pop but all the heart displays from Valentine’s actually gave me the idea to try a heart shaped Majora’s Mask Cake Pop. It was a tricky, tricky pop.

The pop is chocolate cake molded into a heart shape and then dipped in a blend of dark blue and pink chocolate. Tinted rolling fondant was used for the eyes and horns.

I made a secret “Stache” of Cake Pops for my hubby. These are chocolate cake dipped in white chocolate. The mustache art is food color gel paint.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to take a 2-Day Photography Workshop with Jessica Ashley of Peachtree Photography. The class focused on understanding some of the camera settings like shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and metering. I signed up for the class because I wanted to learn a little more about photography so that I could take better pictures of my family and my bakes.  By the end of the class, I learned SO much that I was no longer intimidated with the thought of shooting in Manul Mode & I could see an unbelievable difference in the quality of my pictures.

Before the class, I always used the Auto setting on my camera and the only change I would make is whether I turned the flash on or off. Since the class, I’ve only been using the manual setting and there is such a BIG difference.

If you’ve always wanted to learn more about your camera or take better pictures, I HIGHLY recommend this class. Not only is Jessica an amazing photographer but she is also an outstanding teacher with a sweet personality and an obvious passion for the Art of Photography.

Check out Peachtree Photography. You won’t be disappointed. 🙂

These adorable Puppy Cake Pops were created for a Valentine batch. They’re sculpted chocolate cake balls dipped in white chocolate and detailed with fondant and food gel paint.

Could you resist these sweet little faces? I think not. 🙂
